Offsite Events
Looking for a way to volunteer without being in the shelter, but you still want to work with animals? Offsite volunteers assist with setup and tear-down of events, help walk adoptable dogs, and counsel potential adopters.
|
Laundry & Cleaning Assistance
It may not seem like the most exciting option, but volunteers who assist with tasks like laundry and cleaning make the world go 'round! These tasks take time away from staff to be able to work more closely with the animals.
|
Animal Enrichment
Whether you're walking dogs, playing with cats, making enrichment items, or assisting with playgroups and yard time, this category is the most hands-on when it comes to the animals.
|
Office Assistance
Office volunteers will be trained to answer phone calls, file paperwork, enter info into our animal database, and assist customers with adoption paperwork or other necessary tasks.

MCHS loves to work closely with volunteer groups to organize days of service. We often organize larger activities like yard renovations, shed cleanouts, and other beautification efforts around the shelter. Whether it's the local Scout group, Art Club, or a company Service Day, we're excited to get started with you!
