 "We adopted timid Sandy 2/5/22. Sandy goes by Lola now and she is a perfect fit for us. All this beautiful girl needed was a patient family to give her love and time to feel safe. Once she gained our trust she became the most silly, playful, and loving girl we hoped for. Lola enjoys her daily walks and playing with her squeaky toys. She has taken over our hearts and our king size bed!" -9/15/2022

"I adopted my pups from Morgan County! We adopted them 3 years ago and they are doing amazing! Our female formally known as Minnie is now named Jaycee. She is a love bug, she had an accident a few years ago the resulted in a front leg amputation. But she is now happy and healthy. She would be thriving if is wasn’t for her brother Jax (formally known as Mickey). They both are happy healthy pups!" -10/26/2021

"I ADOPTED GARBANZO IN SEPTEMBER 2022 WHEN HE WAS A VERY SCARED CAT IN THE SHELTER. BUT AS SOON AS HE WAS RELEASED FROM HIS CARRIER HE EXPLORE MY APARTMENT LIKE HE OWNED THE PLACE! TODAY, GARBANZO (OR BANZO BEANS AS WE CALL HIM) IS THE BEST CAT EVER WHO MAKES US LAUGH EVERYDAY! HE LOVES NOTHING MORE THAN A CAN OF TURKEY WET FOOD AND MOUSE TOY TO CHASE AROUND. I'D LIKE TO THANK MCHS FOR ALL THAT THEY DID FOR US AND FOR GIVING GARBANZO THE PERFECT NAME!" -12/14/2022

​"WE ADOPTED LADY ABOUT A YEAR AGO- WE JUST RECENTLY CELEBRATED HER 1 YEAR ADOPT-A-VERSARY. LADY IS THRIVING IN HER NEW HOME, AND IS AS SASSY AS EVER. HER FAVORITE ACTIVITIES INVOLVE SLEEPING IN THE MOST AWKWARD POSITIONS POSSIBLE, AND CONVINCING HER MOM TO BUY HER ANOTHER HEATING PAD OR HEATED BED FOR EACH ROOM OF THE HOUSE.  SHE ALSO LOVES WAKING HER PARENTS UP AT 3 A.M. FOR EXTRA SNUGGLES, HIDING IN HER CUSTOM MADE BOX FROM GRANDPA, WATCHING BIRD VIDEOS, TAPPING THE TREAT JAR UNTIL MOM CAVES AND GIVES HER MORE TREATS, AND SCREECHING AT DAD UNTIL HE OPENS THE CURTAINS TO LET THE SUN INTO THE ROOM IN THE MORNING!" -5/9/2023

"​We adopted Livvi on March 6, 2024. We wanted to wait the 3 months before posting our story to give her time to adjust and settle in, and Boy has she settled in. Livvi was very loving since the beginning, she was easy to do basic training with. At just over a year old when we got her she has a lot of energy. Having acres of land, 2 ponds, and surrounded by woods it did take us almost 2 months to trust letting her run on her own. We couldn't be happier with our choice to adopt her from the Morgan County Humane Society. To work with her and give her a good life in a home where she is very much loved. She brings so much love and joy to our everyday lives. Anyone wanting to add an addition to their family should definitely look into adopting from the Morgan County Humane Society. We would like to thank them very much for being there for all these fur babies that are waiting on their new homes. Their hard work and dedication goes above and beyond!!!
