Why adopt a Barn Cat?
The shelter is a very stressful place for cats. This is especially true for cats that are considered feral or semi-feral.
Barn cats are one of the few non-toxic and eco-friendly methods of managing your pest problems. Barn cats are happiest outside. By adopting a Barn Cat, you're giving that feline a happy, stress-free life living in it's natural environment. Adopting a Barn Cat can help deter unaltered strays from taking up residence on your property. You are saving a life! Without the Barn Cat program, feral and semi-feral cats wouldn't be able to have a second chance at life. |
MCHS is on a mission to pair “barn cats” with local farmers, land owners, and business owners. These cats can lend a helpful paw by taking on the role of pest control.
As an organization dedicated to animal welfare and fighting pet overpopulation, all barn cats are spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. Barn Cat adoption fees are waived, for a donation. |
