Another great way to help the animals is to become a foster home to a dog or cat (or two!) You must complete a foster home application and be interviewed by our foster home coordinator. You will choose which animal to help keep in your home. We provide the vaccinations, de worm, spay/neuter, and microchip the animals. We will assist in placing the animal through our web site, Petfinder, Petsmart, newspaper ads, and photos in the shelter.
It takes EXTRA special people to foster home the animals. Knowing they can only be with you a short while before adopting them into permanent, loving homes can sometimes be highly emotional. However, the joy of seeing the animal go to a permanent home, and the thrill of choosing another animal to foster, far surpasses the emptiness you may experience when they move on.

If you are interested in Fostering a MCHS animal, please contact the shelter by phone at 765-349-9177.
